To facilitate the pursuit of excellence in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of infectious diseases in critically ill patients.
To promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing amongst physicians in the fields of critical care medicine, infectious diseases, and medical microbiology.
To enhance the care of critically ill patients through education, communication, and research in life-threatening infectious diseases.
To promote awareness of effective prevention strategies and management practices for severe, emerging public health threats.
To develop and advocate for adoption of policies and practices that promote responsible hospital antimicrobial use and resource stewardship, particularly in the intensive care unit.
To promote the option of dual training in Critical Care Medicine and Infectious Diseases as a viable career pathway in both clinical and academic practice.
To advance the combined fields of Critical Care Medicine and Infectious Diseases through collegial support, mentorship, and training opportunities.
